Abstract

The essay takes its cue from the discovery in Edoardo Fadini’s private archive of some reels of a series of dialogues between Fadini himself and Carmelo Bene, Leo de Berardinis, Perla Peragallo and Giuseppe Bartolucci, recorded in the summer of 1968 (the day after the Ivrea conference) around a project for a joint publication that was never realised. The conversations, unpublished, account for the many points of contact between the artists and critics involved, but also for some significant differences in accents.
