Three Sisters by Muta Imago, not Chekhov's, yet a very good performance

  Roberto Alonge, Full professor of History of Theatre at the University of Turin, today in quiescence (still, not very quiet), currently teaches Comparative Literatures at the same University, as an adjunct professor. He has published more than thirty volumes with the main Italian houses (Einaudi, Laterza, Garzanti, Mondadori, Rizzoli, Carocci, Olschki, etc.), as well as a pamphlet entitled Asini calzati e vestiti. Lo sfascio della scuola e dell’Università dal ’68 a oggi (Utet, Turin 2005) and several studies to Goldoni, Pirandello, Ibsen. He has directed the Storia del teatro moderno e contemporaneo (Einaudi, 2000-2003) and he has founded in 1988 the journal of Theatre Studies “Il castello di Elsinore”, which he still directs. His last book: Discesa nell’inferno familiare. Angosce e ossessioni nel teatro di Pirandello (Utet/Università, Turin 2018).
