Anna Laura Bellina has studied piano, organ and hapsichord in Venetian conservatory Benedetto Marcello. She has got a master’s degree in Padua university with a dissertation on Strutture del libretto d'opera comica nella seconda metà del Settecento. She has been full professor of musicology in Padua university and studies Italian opera with a particular focus to Venetian “dramma per musica” in seventeenth and eighteenth century.

Abstract

Through the examination of Ivanović's Circe (1665), of Elena rapita da Paride (1681), of Il re infante (1694), of La fede ne' tradimenti (1697) and of Zeno's Aminta (1703) some phenomena are observed relating to the birth of the comic intermezzo.
