Abstract

When discussing the connection between theatre and philosophy, is it possible to trace a path that, starting from the experience of the stage and the actors, can shed light on the origins of key philosophical concepts? Among other things, this essay attempts to clarify the notion of Gjentagelse in Kierkegaard, starting from the work and autobiography of Johanne Luise Heiberg, a famous ingénue of Danish theatre: a case in which philosophy appears to be inspired by the models, roles and theatrical aesthetics of the time.
